Special Needs Sources was created by parents who lived the frustration of searching for services and coming up empty. We built what we wished had existed for our own families.
Special Needs Sources was not built in a boardroom. It was built at a kitchen table by parents who spent nights searching for therapy providers, adaptive programs, and local services for their own children with special needs and found nothing organized, nothing local, and nothing clear.
We have special needs children of our own. We have sat in IEP meetings, navigated Regional Center paperwork, and called provider after provider only to hear they are not taking new clients, they do not accept our funding, or they are too far away.
We knew other families were going through the same thing, and we knew there had to be a better way to connect them with the businesses and programs that genuinely want to serve this community.
So we built Special Needs Sources, starting in the Inland Empire and growing from there. Every listing, every category, and every feature on this site was shaped by real experiences from real families.
“No family should spend hours searching for services that their child needs right now. We built this so the answer is one search away.”
The Special Needs Sources Team
Our mission is simple. Every individual with special needs deserves access to the services, programs, and community that help them live a fuller life. We exist to make finding those resources as straightforward as possible.
The Inland Empire has thousands of families raising children and adults with developmental disabilities. Many of them are connected to the Inland Regional Center, navigating the Self-Determination Program, or simply looking for a local business that understands their situation.
Special Needs Sources gives those families one organized, searchable place to find therapy providers, adaptive sports programs, ILS services, respite care, and more, all filtered by location and category.
Every decision we make about this platform comes back to these principles.
Every feature, every listing, and every decision on this platform is evaluated through one lens: does it make life easier for a family raising a child with special needs.
We review every business submission before it goes live. Families rely on this information to make real decisions, so we take accuracy seriously.
We are growing because families and businesses in this community trust us. That trust shapes every update, every category, and every expansion.
This directory is built to serve individuals across the full spectrum of special needs, regardless of diagnosis, age, funding source, or location.
We started in the Inland Empire because that is where we live. Local knowledge, local businesses, and local impact matter to us.
Searching this directory will never cost a family anything. That is not a promotion, it is a permanent commitment.
From Upland to Riverside, from San Bernardino to the high desert, families in every part of the Inland Empire deserve access to quality services for their loved ones.
There are over 35,000 individuals receiving services through the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino and Riverside counties alone. Many of their families spend hours every week trying to find the right therapist, the right program, or the right provider. Scattered Google searches, outdated resource lists, and word-of-mouth referrals are still the primary ways most families find services in 2025. That is the gap Special Needs Sources was built to close.
Instead of scattered searches, every service category is in one place, filtered by location and type.
Every listed provider has chosen to be here because they serve this community. This is not a general business directory.
We are not a tech company that stumbled into this space. We are parents who understand what families actually need.
Search the directory for free, connect with local providers, and find the services your family deserves. If you are a business, join us and reach the families who are searching for you right now.
